I'm Lukas, a final-year Computer Science master's student at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). My interests span machine learning, software engineering, and intelligent systems. I'm particularly interested in language models and putting research ideas into practice.
Now & next
For my upcoming master’s thesis, I’ll research language models with Cambridge’s Language Technology Lab, jointly supervised by Anna Korhonen and Benjamin Minixhofer.
Previously, I worked at Porsche as a Machine Learning Intern. During my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a research assistant at KIT and spent an exchange semester at ETH Zurich.

I lift, run, play the piano, and read widely across fiction, philosophy, and nonfiction. I much prefer books, films, and other long-form media to short-form feeds. Coffee is a daily ritual, usually moka pot coffee or espresso, with the occasional affogato in summer.
I try to apply a healthy kind of minimalism to life: not having less for its own sake, but noticing how little is actually needed to be happy.
